IVF ( IN VITRO FERTILIZATION )

In vitro fertilization (IVF) is a series of complex procedures used that induce fertility and avert genetic issues to assist with the conception of a child. During IVF, mature eggs are collected (retrieved) from ovaries and fertilized by sperm in a laboratory, to create an embryo. The Embryo is then transferred back to the woman’s uterus to develop as in a normal pregnancy.

Many women at time are unable to conceive depriving them of motherhood. This procedure is used to treat many causes of infertility, including Advanced age of the woman (advanced maternal age), Damaged or blocked fallopian tubes (can be caused by pelvic inflammatory disease or prior reproductive surgery). Thus, IVF offers an option to overcome the issues and achieve motherhood.
